We were honored to have Bishop Todd Hunter join Restoration for Pentecost Sunday. He preached on the amazing gift of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. Whether you come from a church background that completely ignored or excessively emphasized the power of the Holy Spirit, he is essential in our relationship with God. The Spirit transforms, gifts, and pours out the love of God in our hearts–so why would we want to do life without the Holy Spirit. If you weren’t with us on Sunday, be sure to listen to this powerful sermon from Bishop Hunter.
Following the worship service, many of us went to Mimosa Park for a potluck picnic. We shared a delicious meal surrounded by flame colored balloons to mark Pentecost. Children played on the playground while adults enjoyed conversation in the shade. We ended the Easter Season by celebrating Pentecost, the birthday of the Church, together!
